Know where your weekly shop money actually goes.
Coming soon toYour weekly shop,
unpacked.
Every time you buy something, money flows to the company that made it and to the parent company that owns them. unPACKED scans your receipts and tells you which brands are linked to boycott lists, labour abuses, environmental harm, and more.
We're not here to shame anyone. Shopping ethically is hard! Costs are high, information is buried, and it's impossible to be perfect. unPACKED is an education tool, not a guilt machine.
The goal is simple: give you the information to make more informed choices, over time, at your own pace.
Eleven things
we look for.
unPACKED flags brands linked to any of the following issues, grouped into three areas. When you sign up, you tell us how much each one matters to you.
Brands that appear on the BDS Movement boycott list.
Companies with documented child labour in their supply chains.
Brands linked to forced or trafficked labour in their supply chains.
Brands linked to unsafe workplaces, union busting, or exploitative labour practices.
Brands that have violated WHO standards on infant formula marketing.
Companies identified as major contributors to global plastic waste.
Companies linked to habitat destruction, deforestation, or ecosystem damage.
Companies using destructive or unsustainable fishing methods.
Brands linked to poor animal welfare standards in farming or testing.
Companies using offshore structures to avoid paying tax in the countries they operate in.
Companies with documented histories of suppressing workers' rights to organise.
